HIGHLIGHTS
Ilkley - Known as the Heather Spa, Ilkley lies on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a popular centre for fresh air and exercise including conquering the impressive Cow and Calf Rocks and visiting White Wells to "take the waters".
Haworth and Bronte Country - This area offers a varied choice of activities including visits to the home of the Bronte sisters in Haworth as well as a trip to Keighley and the Worth Valley Railway. The railway is famous for being the setting of The Railway Children film.
Leeds - If you want it you will probably find it in Leeds. For museums and galleries you will find The Royal Armouries, BBC Making History and the Henry Moore Gallery to name but a few. There are concert venues, cinemas, theatres, a football stadium (home to Leeds Utd.) and Parks/gardens including Tropical World and Temple Newsam.
Bolton Abbey and Wharfedale - The estate is open all year with various activities including visiting the Strid (a narrow stretch of fast flowing water on the River Wharfe), meandering through numerous walks/trails and gardens and seeing the Priory, Barden Tower and the Cavendish Pavillion.
